Jason Preston says Nevada needs fighters like Gilbert RENO, Nev. – January 21, 2022 – Utah entrepreneur Jason Preston has become the latest prominent endorser of Nevada gubernatorial candidate Joey Gilbert. Preston created The Tour of Utah in 2005, which grew into an international multi-day road race across Utah he later sold to Utah Jazz owner Larry H. Miller. He then built Dental Branding, which became the official marketing partner for Henry Schein, serving thousands of dentists nationwide. The Utah Congressional Republican candidate now works with National Write Your Congressman, a political watchdog organization that urges businesses to hold members of Congress accountable. “Right now, we need fighters,” the Utah entrepreneur said. “We need people to stand up and say ‘enough is enough’.” “And that’s one of the things I love about Joey,” Preston said in his endorsement of Gilbert’s campaign for Nevada governor. “Joey understands fighting. He understands what it means to protect the ones you care about.” The Utah native said he met Gilbert while working with Nevada small businesses, remarking they thrived before COVID hit. He expressed dismay about a July visit to Sin City after Governor Steve Sisolak (D-Nevada) imposed mask mandates and business lockdowns enforced by the Health Department. “What was once thriving business parks were literally two or three cars in the parking lot,” Preston recounted, “and I’d walk in and talk to business owners and – I kid you not – they had tears in their eyes.” The Beehive State resident said the Nevada business owners he met had put everything in their businesses and they despaired as state health officials shut them down. “We need the people to rise up and say, ‘our state belongs to the people, not these politicians’,” Preston exhorted, adding, “we don’t have to sit and hide behind social media. We can stand up and fight and we have a role to play and I believe we will win.” “Everything is on the line right now.
