Gilbert’s favorable rating, vote count trumps field RENO, Nev. – December 10, 2021 – If the election was held right now, Attorney Joey Gilbert would easily win the Primary and become the Republican nomination for Governor of Nevada, according to a recent poll conducted by Liberty Watch Magazine. Between December 3 and December 5, Liberty Watch polled 800 regular Republican voters who reside in one of Nevada’s 17 counties and voted in the previous two primaries and general elections. Results were rounded to the nearest whole number and no margin of error or confidence was provided by pollsters. The poll by Liberty Watch Magazine asked, “If the primary election was held today, who would you vote for?” 34/%, the largest number by far, said they would vote for Joey Gilbert. Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo came in second with 24% and former Senator Dean Heller only garnered approval from 7% of voters. Participants were also asked which candidate they recognize most. Joey came in second among the crowded field of gubernatorial candidates at 24%, up from 4.3% in early October. According to this poll, Gilbert and Lombardo are the front runners for the June 14, 2022 primary, the winner of which will face off against incumbent Democrat Steve Sisolak on November 8th. Gilbert’s campaign team has worked hard to increase voter recognition and approval for him and his policies while he continues to solidify his presence in the rural parts of the state. In an October poll, Joey Gilbert was sitting at an 8% approval rating with 89% of those polled having no opinion. In the most recent poll, Joey has skyrocketed to a 43.3% approval rating while 40.4% still have no opinion. This leaves him with an 83.7% potential approval rating which is 30.5% higher than Lombardo. In just two months Joey has closed the gap between his more well-known opponents while keeping his approval rating high and his disapproval rating much lower than his top competition.
